Honda February 2022 Sales: Domestic numbers are down for everyone but what would be worrying for the brand is the shrinking export sales…
The sales numbers for February 2022 for Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) are out. And it is not looking good at all for the Japanese manufacturer.
The Gross Sales of two-wheelers for February 2022 stood at 3,12,621 units. It is a decline of 29.38% compared to 4,42,696 units sold in February 2021.

The YoY sales numbers are not painting a good picture. The Domestic sales and Exports, all show red when compared to the last year numbers.
Honda registered 2,85,677 unit sales in the Domestic Market down a significant 30.59% compared to 4,11,578 units recorded in February 2021.
Surprisingly, and against the tide, the Exports followed the same trend and showed a contraction of 13.41%. Honda managed to sell 26,944 units for February 2022.

Month-over-Month Sales
The MoM sales also show a grim picture for Honda.
The Domestic Sales declined by 9.37%, down from 3,15,196 units sold in January 2022.
Similarly, the Exports also contracted from 39,013 units of January 2022, short by a massive 30.94%.
Overall, MoM drop was 11.74%.

It seems HMSI is well aware of their state of sales in our country. Therefore, to bring a boost the company is refreshing its line-up. Honda have been consistently filing patents for new machines in our country and we have been right after them!
So far, we have seen patents of India-specific scooter, NT1100 grand tourer, R15 rival CBR150R and NXR160 & CRF190L ADVs.
