The much awaited KTM’s 390 Adventure is already here – it was launched in January 2020 at a price tag of Rs 2.99 Lakh ex-showroom. It also gave KTM a 2.5 times increase in 390’s sales. However, within a span of four odd months, prices of all KTM motorcycles have gone north, including the 390 ADV.

The 390 Adventure has received a fairly significant price hike of Rs 5109 which is about 2 percent of the older cost of the motorcycle. Since the baby ADV was already BS6 compliant, this price hike can not be linked to the BS4 to BS6 transition.

This price increase will take the on road price precariously close to Rs 4 Lakh, specially in cities like Bangalore where the levies are higher.

This will also give BMW a chance to up its ante with the new G310 GS which is already under tests. The BS4 compliant baby GS was being offered at around Rs 3.50 Lakh on road after various offers.
