Hero Motocorp – India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, launched its most promising product of the year – the Xtreme 160R last month. It was revealed that the company started dispatching the motorcycle to its dealership network from early July.
In a latest, the new Xtreme 160R has now started reaching Hero dealerships across the country. The deliveries of the bike are also expected to begin very soon. Hero has cleared that it has dispatched units matching the high demand.
Xtreme 160R is an all-new motorcycle that has been developed from scratch. The bike gets a new single-cylinder, four-stroke, BS6, SOHC engine that generates a peak power of 15.23 PS and 14 Nm maximum torque.

These figures match the aggressive styling and its low weight (at 138 kg, it is one of the lightest motorcycles in its segment) offers it an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

It has been priced well as well and is one of most affordable premium 150cc bikes in India. It costs ₹99,950 for the rear-drum brake variant, while the disc brake variant costs ₹1,03,500. The only other premium 150cc motorcycle that costs less than the Xtreme is Yamaha FZ V3 (₹250 less). However, the Hero has much better numbers at least on paper!
