BS6 Jawa weight increment has been corrected at the website. We have edited this post as a comparison between the three siblings.
It came as a big surprise when the new Jawa and Forty Two were listed to produce 182 kilos (inferring a seven percent hike) in this Bharat Stage 4 to Bharat Stage 6 transition. However, Classic Legends representative was quick to inform us that the website was incorrectly updated and the correct weight of the new models is 172 kilos – a 2 kg increment from BS4.
There is a minor (and expected) power and torque drop of 0.86 PS and 0.95 Nm respectively and the motorcycles have lost a wee bit of power to weight ratio.
Jawa also has a third motorcycle – the beautiful Perak bobber. It was also recently introduced but directly with Bharat Stage 6 compliance. It is longer, has bigger tyres and a wider wheelbase along with a larger capacity 334cc engine (it is the same motor with a bigger bore basically).

Will Share Sales Numbers at the ‘Right Time’: Jawa
Classic Legends has shared that these motorcycles now come with Cross Port technology which is country’s first. The other change is the pricing structure – the higher-in-demand colors now cost more than the basic colors (here are the prices). This is a very similar strategy as the one rival Royal Enfield follows very successfully.
