Just In: Benelli Confirms New Motorcycle on 22-24 Oct: Which One???

Either TRK 251 or Imperiale launch scheduled on these days? Both of them are interesting motorcycles for our market…

Benelli, in its second innings with Mahavir Auto, has been very aggressive and particular about its presence in India. It has tried to work on its problematic areas and the result is in front of us. The new Benellis are significantly cheaper to maintain as the service interval has been increased. Along with that, the price slash on the 300s (TNT 300 as well as 302R) makes the twins very competitive in their respective segments (more details).

Benelli is not stopping just at that! It has announced a product onslaught and they are not those exorbitantly priced, insanely powerful motorcycles, which most of us may just be able to drool over.

Moments back Benelli has shared with us an invite to a media ride of an undisclosed motorcycle. The ‘block your date‘ invite comes with a tagline ‘Experience Freedom‘. Now this hints at either a tourer or a cruiser. In its ‘upcoming-for-India’ list we have the Adventure tourer TRK 251 and the retro classic Imperiale 400 in pipeline.

Benelli TRK251

TRK 251 is the smaller sibling of TRK 502 and it is powered by a 250cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine which can pump out 26 PS of peak power and 21.2 Nm of max torque. Prominent features include 41 mm upside down front forks, 51 mm travel rear monoshock, 17 liter fuel tank etc.
