Mini-xDiavel Benelli 502C Launch Next Year: Report

Benelli 502C launch in India will give the company what looks like a worthy long-distance mid-sizer and if they can price it well, it will be a cherry on the top!

Benelli is picking up great pace in its second innings in India along with its new partner Mahavir. Apart from the many new motorcycles we have already talked about (here), the next in line would be the 502C power cruiser, according to a report at Zigwheels.

Benelli 502C Launch

According to the report, Benelli’s Managing Director Vikas Jhabakh has confirmed that the 502C cruiser will launch in India in 2020. The bike will enter our market through the CKD route and will be assembled at the manufacturer’s plant in Hyderabad.

The Benelli 502C is powered by the same engine as the recently introduced TRK 502 ADV. The 500 cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 47.5 BHP of power at 6000 RPM and 46 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM, running on a 6-speed gearbox.

Benelli has built the bike on a tubular trellis frame with 41 mm upside down forks and a pre-load adjustable monoshock. Braking setup includes dual 280 mm petal discs upfront and a 240 mm petal disc at the rear, with standard dual-channel ABS.

Coming to its physical parameters, Benelli 502C comes with aggressive headlamps with tiny side blinkers, gloss-finished black visible frame, a sculpted fuel tank and a huge gap between the tail and tires. 502C uses an all-digital console with LED lights for different indications. The handlebar stays casual and the seating posture appears to be comfortable.

The 502C’s mini-xDiavel-like styling is what makes it a droolworthy product. It has a fuel tank capacity of 21.5 litres and a claimed fuel efficiency of 27 kmpl which can get you a range of 550 kms. With a company claimed top speed of 160 kmph, we can have a very competitive mid-size tourer. This cruiser bike has low-height seat and forward-set footpegs, which should further comfort the rider on long-distance tours.
