Yamaha MT15 bookings have been opened by dealers and the motorcycle will be launched on the 15th of this month…
So far, Yamaha has not officially revealed what motorcycle will it launch on the 15th of March. They have rolled out invites for the event which is scheduled at Buddh International Circuit Noida. However, it is well established that it will be the awaited MT15 which we will see in action on this day.

At the 21st January FZ v3 launch event, Yamaha had, in addition, informed the dealers about the impending MT15. Now, when we are just a few days away from the motorcycle, dealerships have announced commencement of bookings for the naked streetfighter. Elite Motors, an authorised dealership in Chennai, has put up a banner, revealing the motorcycle’s whereabouts and they are calling for bookings.
Before you put your money on the table, do remember that the India-spec MT15 will be slightly different from the international model. We will not get upside down front forks, sporty aluminium swingarm among other bits. It was busted recently – check its uncamouflaged spy pics here.

But what we are getting is that aggressive and dramatic headlamp setup, the19.3 PS, 155cc VVA equipped engine from the R15 (yes, it has been confirmed by a leaked document), and a motorcycle which may go onto become the most ‘fun to ride’ 150cc in India. It is expected to be slightly lighter than R15 further helping the cause!
