We have a new spyshot of the upcoming Yamaha FZ Version 2 coming in from Greater Noida courtesy NDTV.com. The bike being tested on the expressway appears to be the same mule that has been spied earlier as well.
The new FZ V2 looks a little more muscular than the current FZ. It has more curves and lines to lend that visual feeling of more brawniness! In terms of changes, FZ V2 will get new air scoops and newer fins under the fuel tank, split seats which appear to be wider and more accommodating from the spyshots that have appeared so far.
Then we will also have a new look exhaust with circular end and modified thinner split grab rails. Version 2 of FZ will also get a shorter sportier rear mudguard and number plate mounting along with the taillamp, clear-lens indicators and a large rear tyre hugger.

However, the most interesting speculation that is going around is the possibility of Yamaha tweaking the engine to extract more power. It may also get fuel injection and possibly a little higher displacement. This is believable considering the same had happened with the R15.

Yamaha was testing R15 V2 mules and we know there are mechanical engine related changes on the ultimate product as compared to its V1. Yamaha has very recently launched new colour versions for FZ and it may just be the last refresh/minor upgrade FZ version 1 has seen. FZ Version 2 is expected to be launched towards the second half of this year at around similar prices.
Suzuki has also not revealed the power and torque specs of FZ’s arch nemesis Gixxer which will be launched around July. And then we also have the all-new Pulsar 150NS in the making!
