Yamaha Discontinues Fazer & Ray from the Lineup

So, Yamaha is streamlining their lineup and has discontinued quite a few products from its lineup. Among them, we have already informed you about the FZ-S and Crux apart from updating their SZ-RR and the R15 V2 with new colours and price increments.

Apart from this, the company has also axed the carburetted Fazer from the lineup. This means, now the FZ16 will be the only carburetted motorcycle in the FZ lineup and will continue to be sold alongside the Fuel Injected version 2 of FZ, FZ-S and Fazer. This step will create a void in the lineup between Rs 74,000 to Rs 80,000 however, it will give the FI versions a little more air to breathe!

In the scooter lineup, Yamaha has discontinued the original Ray (which was targeted at female riders). The lineup now comprises of Fascino, Alpha and Ray-Z and will be followed by the company’s first disc-brake equipped Ray ZR showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. Yamaha’s scooter range now starts from Rs 49,336 ex-showroom Delhi. Fascino also targets the feminine crowd and is a more desirable scooter than the Ray (along with being a little costlier as well).
