We list Xtreme 160R vs X-Blade vs Gixxer sales for the month of August 2020 and highlight how impressive a month it has been for Hero…
It appears that Hero may have finally got a striking product in the 150cc space after what looks like eternity! This is also after a real long time Hero has ditched its extremely commuter mindset and offered a sportier-looking offering in this segment. Yes, obviously, we are talking about the Xtreme 160R.
And the good news for the company is that it is being rewarded for its efforts, in terms of healthier sales. In the month of August 2020, Hero registered total sales of 12,037 units of Xtreme 160R. These are higher than the numbers of X-Blade and Gixxer, combined. Here are the numbers of each of them…
Xtreme 160R vs X-Blade vs Gixxer – Aug 2020 Sales
|Xtreme 160R||12,037 units|
Apart from impressive specs, features and looks, the biggest USP of Xtreme 160R is its extremely aggressive price tag. You can check the prices of all the premium 150cc motorcycles here.
Gixxer and X-Blade are two of the costliest motorcycles in the segment now and the high prices may be impacting their sales. That is not all – Xtreme 160R is also inching closer to Yamaha FZ (which registered total sales of 17,868 units in Aug 20).
Since, after a long time Hero is tasting success in higher capacity motorcycles, it becomes obligatory for it to not distort the working mantra by increasing the price or by reducing features, etc.
