Bajaj has partnered with British motorcycle maker Triumph in what could be termed as another potential disrupter in India’s mid capacity motorcycle segment, after KTM. In January this year in a press meet, the duo shared some shocking revelations on their plans for our market. We have discussed them here.
However, the single biggest confirmation is that the first motorcycle will be priced under ₹2 Lakh and it will be sold under the Triumph’s moniker. We have discussed the possible displacement here and the form here.
In a latest word coming out from Shoeb Farooq, Business Head – Triumph Motorcycles India, it is confirmed that there will not be a delay in the launch of the first motorcycle due to COVID inflicted lockdown India had to enforce. And it should be here by the promised timeline of 2022 ie just after next year.
Farooq confirmed that a couple of months due to the pandemic may put some strain but the development is on track and the timelines should not see a significant shift. He elaborated…
