Suzuki’s upcoming 250cc motorcycle could be a cruiser or an adventure bike. Company’s top official confirms and reveals few details about it…

Suzuki very recently and after a long delay ventured in this single cylinder 250cc segment with two motorcycles – full faired Gixxer 250 SF (read review) and its naked counterpart. We have ridden both of them and in simple words we can say – they were worth the wait! And the initial sales response has also been decent with a positive word of mouth expected to enhance their acceptability.

Now, it is very obvious that this platform (including the motor) will be used to create more motorcycles and here are the initial hints. A report at Money Control reveals that the company is working on an all-new 250cc motorcycle which could either be a cruiser or an adventure motorcycle. It quotes Satoshi Uchida, Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Managing Officer, who has confirmed the development.

After 250cc we are going to look at more models in bigger capacity bikes. We will have to add another 250cc bike may be a cruiser and after that, we go for bigger bikes. This will be through a new brand.

Though the tilt is towards a cruiser since they already have the Intruder 150 as the base, a quarter liter ADV ahead of it would just make things more interesting considering that they are more in ‘vogue‘. Also note that Suzuki will introduce it under a new brand which means the new motorcycle will not use the Intruder nameplate, if it, indeed, is a cruiser.
