Suzuki motorcycle sales have surprisingly risen when all others have shown a decline in this terrible market slowdown…
Indian automobile industry is in a big slowdown. Makers have been suffering continuous sales fall for the last many months now. As a result, almost every manufacturer has reduced its production which has caused a lot of job losses. In the two wheeler space, everyone has been in the red, including Royal Enfield which sailed through Demonetisation, almost unhurt!
But there is one maker which has been killing it without making any kind of noise – Suzuki! If you ask us, Suzuki is not as big in India as it should have been considering the number of years it has been present here but it is clearly the one which could be cherry-picked in this muted market.
Suzuki has been the only major player in the industry which has not reported negative numbers. One of the biggest achievements of the maker is that it has outdone Hero MotoCorp in scooter sales. This is an emphatic victory for the company considering that it only has a fraction of sales outlets when compared to the country’s largest two-wheeler maker.
Apart from this, it has also beaten Royal Enfield and increased the gap with Yamaha in all these months. In the process it has almost become a permanent number five with a market share between 4-5 percent.
