Pulsar 220 latest price hike takes the effective BS4 to BS6 increment to more than 22 percent – all in a matter of few months…

Two-wheeler makers are increasing prices of their motorcycles and scooters very frequently. In this queue is Bajaj’s most popular 200 cc model – the Pulsar 220. Bajaj launched the Bharat Stage 6 compliant 2020 version of the 220 in April (here is the launch article). And barely within 16 odd months, the motorcycle has seen many price hikes!

The latest price hike is Rs 4128 which corresponds to a 3.22 percent increment. This comes after the motorcycle received a Rs 3002 hike in April 2021!

And the effective increment since the last BS4 price is a very significant Rs 24,052 or an increase of over 22 percent, within a matter of few months.

There are no changes in the motorcycle. The most recent change was the introduction of the new Dagger Edition colors in April. In BS6, the biggest Pulsar produces slightly lesser power output of 20.4 PS and an unchanged torque of 18.55 Nm.
