Pulsar 220 latest price hike takes the effective BS4 to BS6 increment to 11.5 percent – all in a matter of few months…
Two-wheeler makers are increasing prices of their motorcycles and scooters very frequently. Next in line is Bajaj’s most popular 200 cc model – the Pulsar 220. Bajaj launched the Bharat Stage 6 compliant 2020 version of the 220 in April. And barely within four months, the motorcycle has seen as many as three price hikes!

The latest price hike is Rs 998 (about 0.08 percent increment). However, effective BS4 to BS6 increment is a significant Rs 12461 or an increase of almost 11.5 percent, within a matter of few months.
The biggest change in the new Pulsar 220 is the addition of fuel injection. It now produces slightly lesser power output of 20.4 PS and an unchanged torque of 18.55 Nm.
There is a slightly bigger front disc and as a result of the new emission equipment and other changes, weight has seen an increment of 5 kilos.
