Get ready as Jawa Perak bookings open tomorrow at the company’s website. Deliveries are still a few months away though…
Jawa officially unveiled the Perak back on 15th November 2018. Exactly after one year, it was officially launched in India at a minor increment in price from the first announced tag (launch article).
And after a month and a half, Jawa will commence bookings of the bobber from tomorrow (1st January 2020) and the time given is 6 pm ‘sharp’! Bookings can be made at Jawa’s official website for a nominal amount.
It will still take Jawa three more months to start delivering the first motorcycles to its buyers. Jawa has announced that Perak’s deliveries will commence from 2nd April 2020. So, if you want to own the beauty, you better be among the first ones to book as the company has announced that it will keep booking list limited to curtail long waiting periods as we have seen in the case of the Jawa and Forty Two.
Only 3 Jawa Customer Deliveries Got Delayed, Says Founder
Perak comes with a Bharat Stage VI compliant engine which has a slightly bigger bore and as a result the displacement has increased to 334 cc. It produces 30.4 PS of peak power and 31 Nm of max torque and continues with the same 6-speed transmission.
Will Share Sales Numbers at the ‘Right Time’: Jawa
Perak will be retailed at Rs 1,94,500 ex-showroom Delhi, slightly higher from its first announced price tag of Rs 1.89 Lakh. The bobber, which will be sold as a single seater, will get a rear disc brake and dual channel ABS as standard.
Opinion: Is Jawa Shooting Itself on the Foot?
This time Jawa looks more prepared and we hope the wait periods are not endless and customers get their motorcycles on time.
