Honda CB500X Dispatches Commence; 15 Units Shipped Out in First Month

Honda CB500X deliveries are expected to commence very soon in India. It is available at both – conventional and Topline BigWing Honda showrooms…

Honda’s focus on the mid-capacity motorcycle segment in India has been a mixed bag for enthusiasts. First, it surprised us pleasantly with two made-in-India retro classics – CB350 and CB350RS which were priced well. It followed them up with as many as three mid-sizers – CB500X, CB650R and CBR650R.

CB500X and CB650R made their debuts in India in the month of March 2021 and all of that is great news. But what isn’t is the price tags that they carry. For some reason, Honda became extremely greedy with these CKD models and the end result is – major disappointment in the faces of almost all the potential buyers!

It will be very interesting to see how will the junta respond to these astronomical price tags and that can only be gauged by the number of units Honda manages to sell. For now, we have the SIAM sales data with us that reveals that Honda has commenced wholesales of its CB500X to its dealerships. As many as 15 units of the ADV have been shipped out in the first month of March 2021.
