Norton 450cc Roadster Breaks Cover Ahead of EICMA 2026 Debut

The Norton 450cc roadster motorcycle will go on sale in 2027 in major international markets, including India

Norton Motorcycles, the TVS-owned British brand, has unveiled the brand spanking new 450cc roadster motorcycle ahead of its global debut at the EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The bikes’s official name has not been revealed yet and the company has stated that it will be announced ahead of the launch. The Norton 450cc roadster motorcycle will go on sale in 2027 in major international markets, including India. It will be a direct rival to Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and Triumph Speed 400 in the Indian market.

Powered by a 454 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine, it will deliver peak torque of 45 Nm. The power output has not been disclosed yet. Sitting on an aluminium frame, it borrows the 8-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with TFT display from the Atlas & Atlas GT. The entry-level Norton motorcycle will be locally manufactured in India at the Hosur factory of TVS Motor Company.

The upcoming Norton 450cc roadster is likely to ride on 17-inch wheels while sharing cycle parts with bigger company bikes. Norton had trademarked three monikers earlier this year in India in the form of Roven, Inter and Avalon. Last year, it had also filed a trademark for ‘Electra’ nameplate while in 2023, Norton had trademarked ‘Combat’ moniker. Hence, it is quite possible that the company could use any one name among these five for the upcoming 450cc roadster motorcycle.

Sudarshan Venu, Chairman, TVS Motor Company, said: “Norton has never been defined just by engine capacity or a particular category of motorcycle. It is defined by its character, its design, engineering and the emotional connection it creates with riders. The new Norton 450 urban motorcycle carries the same approach into an entirely new category. It is not simply about extending our product range; it is about creating motorcycles with their own identity, each unmistakably Norton.”

Norton Motorcycles took the wraps off four new models namely the Manx, Manx R, Atlas and Atlas GT at the EICMA 2025. Deliveries of the Manx R and Atlas have started in European markets, with the Manx and Atlas GT to follow. Recently, the Manx R received the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best distinction at the 2026 Red Dot Award: Design Concept, following its success at the 2026 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA).
