2020 CD110 Dream BS6 Differences

New Engine – The biggest change is the incorporation of an all new engine. Honda has ditched the older 109.19 cc engine and the BS6 compliant CD110 Dream sports a slightly bigger 109.51 cc motor. It has a bore and stroke of 47 mm and 63.1 mm respectively. This gives us ample hints that it is the same engine that has gone to the Activa 6G as well.

Fuel Injection – For emission related updates, the new CD110 ditches the carburetor and gets fuel injected.

Engine Specs – The new motorcycle produces 8.8 PS of peak power at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9.30 Nm at 5500 rpm. This means that power is up by 0.44 PS and torque is also increased by 0.67 Nm. Compression ratio has also been altered from 9.9:1 to 10.1:1.

Fuel Tank – At a capacity of 9.1 liters, the new CD110 Dream can store 1.1 liter of more fuel in the tank.

Battery – The new motorcycle now also gets a bigger 12V 5AH battery (older model used a 3AH battery).

Wheelbase – Honda has increased the wheelbase of the motorcycle from 1258 mm to 1285 mm.

Ground Clearance – In the process, the ground clearance has dropped from 179 mm to 162 mm.

Dimensions – The new version is slightly bigger. Length – 2044 mm vs 2009 mm, Height – 1076 mm vs 1074 mm. (Width is 1 mm lesser at 736 mm).

Weight – In the process, the Honda’s entry level motorcycle has got heavier by 5 kilos and now tips the scale at 112 kg (kerb).

New Styling – Though the basic silhouette remains similar, there are subtle changes to the overall design which go with fresh graphics.

Silent Start – Honda’s ACG starter motor also finds a place on the new motorcycle. It enables silent and jolt free start every time. You can check its working in the following Activa 6G video.

DC Headlamp – The new CD comes with a DC headlamp for consistent illumination at all rpms.

Engine Start/Stop switch – In place is one single button which functions for start and stop of the motorcycle.

Pass switch – The motorcycle has also received a pass switch which is integrated with the headlamp button.

Warranty – The motorcycle now comes with a warranty of 6 years – 3 years standard and 3 years paid optional.
