Lockdown: Free Service & Warranty of Bajaj Motorcycles Extended Further

Bajaj free service extension and warranty relaxation was a much needed move since there are a lot of customers who have their dates falling around this lockdown period.

Almost every auto manufacturer has come forward in these testing times in the country. They are helping the government in whichever way they can – by offering financial aids, providing their resources and/or spaces, food distribution to underprivileged, etc. For their own customers, two-wheeler makers announced extensions in the deadlines that are ending in or near the current lockdown period. And with the current lockdown getting another extension, Bajaj has also extended its last date of service and warranty.

Government of India announced a 21 day lockdown period in the country asking all its residents to stay indoors to prevent the community spread of the contagious virus in March. It was further extended two times and will now see another extension to Lockdown 4.0 after May 17th. As a result auto dealerships were closed and customers were also not allowed to move out. Many were concerned about their free/paid service dates falling during these days. Warranties were also expiring for a lot of customers.

As a respite, Bajaj Auto announced an extension in these deadlines for all its customers. For original warranties and free service expiries falling between 20th March 2020 and 30th April 2020, Bajaj earlier announced a relaxation till 31st May 2020. However, it has now extended it till 31st July 2020 (for all expiries till 31st May 2020). This means that once the lockdown is over, customers can visit their local dealerships and get their warranty claims or services done till the new date.
