TVS warranty extension and service expiry relaxation is a welcome move since neither can the customers move out nor are the dealerships open in this lockdown!
Most of the auto makers are coming out to help fellow countrymen in one way or the other during this COVID-19 outbreak. Among two-wheeler manufacturers, we have already seen Bajaj and TVS announce multi crore aids to help upgrade our medical facilities, increase the availability of ventilators, provide food to the needy and distribute masks and sanitizers in the rural areas.
Many of us bikers have motorcycles and scooters which are due for scheduled maintenance during the current lockdown which is till 14th April 2020. And obviously based on the Government’s orders we can neither go out and nor are the dealerships open to service our vehicles. So, what will happen? Will our free/paid services lapse? Will our warranties go despite no fault of ours? No, is the answer if you own a TVS vehicle, at least.
TVS Warranty Extension & Other Measures
TVS has announced extension of dates of vehicles services.
- If your Free Services fall between March and April 2020, you can redeem them uptil June 2020.
- If your two-wheeler’s warranty is expiring between 1st March 2020 and 30th April 2020, you get an automatic extension till 30th June 2020.
- Annual Maintenance Services (AMC) which are due in March and April, will be redeemable till June 2020.
Apart from that, TVS’ toll free number 1800 2587 111 continues to function to address all customer queries and concerns. They are open from 9 AM till 6 PM. Roadside Assistance also continues to be available and will support wherever TVS associates can reach legally. This service will be free for enrolled customers and chargeable for others.
We are extremely happy to see TVS doing its bit in these stressful and testing times. We also hope other makers take clues and offer similar extension in dates for their vehicles to all their customers.
