If you are a cruiser fan, in the entry level space you only have two options to choose from – Suzuki’s Intruder and Bajaj Avenger. Intruder is the most flamboyant-looking cruiser here but it is also the least powerful. Avenger, on the other hand, comes in two variants – with a 160cc engine in ‘Street’ guise and with a more powerful 220cc motor under the ‘Cruise’ styling.

Intruder was updated to BS6 compliance in March 2020. It was priced at Rs 1,20,000 – a hike of around 11 percent over its BS4 variant. Now after about 16 months, Suzuki has increased the prices of its lone cruiser multiple times. Here are its latest prices…

So, as you can see, a year back, Intruder was the costliest motorcycle in this lineup, however, after multiple hikes, Avenger 220 has overtaken it and has a difference of almost Rs 5500.
