2022 Yamaha RayZR MotoGP Edition Launched at ₹87,330

Like last year, the 2022 RayZR MotoGP edition comes in a nice black color theme with contrast decals…

Apart from announcing the special 2022 editions of the R15, MT15 and the Aerox, Yamaha has also launched the new RayZR Monster Energy Moto GP-inspired edition.

The MotoGP edition scooter is priced at INR 87,330 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes the special edition scooter between INR 1000 to 2000 costlier than its regular model. It is still cheaper than the Street Rally.

RayZR MotoGP Edition – What’s Different?

Like the MotoGP edition on other Yamaha product, the special RayZR follows a similar approach with fancy MotoGP decals and Monster Energy branding on the body paint. However, it does look interesting in that all-black theme!

The mechanicals – power, torque etc, remain unchanged. The scooter is equipped with a 125cc Blue core engine that produces a power output of 8.2 PS at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.3 Nm at 5,000 RPM.

There is a Smart Motor Generator that provides Power assist which helps in avoiding any wobble during startup or while commuting through rough or hilly terrain – basically whenever you start from go.

The SMG also helps in reversing the direction of electricity causing the features like Quiet engine start-up, automatic start, and stop, etc.

The scooter also gets the side-stand cutoff switch for the engine. If the side-stand is engaged then the engine will cut off until the stand has been taken off.

The RayZR competes against the new Jupiter 125. You can check out our review of the TVS scooter below..
