Yamaha India has launched the MotoGP edition of its naked streetfighter MT15 in India. The 150cc naked is priced at INR 1,65,400 (ex-showroom). The standard MT15 black costs Rs 1,63,400 which means Yamaha is charging a premium of about Rs 2000 for the special edition.
MT15 MotoGP – What is Different?
On the tanks shrouds and fuel tank, you get the MotoGP and Monster Energy insignia. Similar decals are available on the side panels as well. And that is about it. Apart from a few new graphics, there are no changes that Yamaha has informed us of.
The MT15 is the affordable streetfighter derivative of the supernaked cousin the MT-09.
The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP MT15 packs the same power figures and tech specs as the regular variants of the MT15. So, you get a 155 cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine with a 6-speed gearbox.

It produces a maximum power output of 18.4 PS at 10,000 RPM and peak torque of 14.1 Nm at 7,500 RPM.
Among other features, the MT15 is equipped with Variable Valve Actuation or VVA Tech. You also get a golden colored upside down front forks, side-stand cutoff, Multi-Function Negative LCD Instrument Cluster, Bi Functional LED Headlight, LED Tail-light, etc.
This comes along with the new MotoGP version of the R15M. All these MotoGP variants are limited edition models and are available at the premium Blue Square showrooms.
