So, Yamaha has been on a price hike spree since the new year began. They brought price hikes to their various models in at least three different instances. The FZ series, the Aerox 155 and the R15 models got their own share of price hikes in the recent months.
However, within weeks of bringing the price revisions, Yamaha have brought in another round of price hikes to their selective FZ models, Aerox scooter, and now certain R15 models.
New Prices of Yamaha R15 models
Yamaha India have hiked the prices of certain models in the R15 line-up, including the v4, M and the friendlier R15 S v3.
The price hikes range from Rs. 1,500/- to Rs. 3,500/- on various models.

With this, the motorcycle has become costlier by upto Rs 8500 after three price hikes since its launch in September 2021. No other mechanical and/or visual changes have been brought to the R15 range.

All the variants of Yamaha R15 are powered by the staple 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine producing 18.4 HP and 14.2 Nm of torque connected to a 6-speed transmission assisted by a slipper clutch (the R15S produces 0.1 PS of hiker power).
The sibling of the R15 – MT-15 – is also about to get an update and will bear the moniker ‘Version 2.0’ . It is expected that the new MT-15 will break cover on the 11th of April.
