Yamaha MT15 offer provides choice of free helmet or jacket to all the old and new owners of the motorcycle…
Yamaha is trying hard to push MT-15 as much as it can. MT15, the streetfighter sibling of the fabulous R15, was recently launched in India with the same engine specs of the faired motorcycle. However, it has been priced very close to the R15 and, for some reason, it comes shod with a single-channel ABS (against R15’s dual unit).
As we reported few days back, first two month wholesales of the streetfighter have been impressive at about 9000 units (more details). To further spruce things up, Yamaha has announced complementary MT branded riding jacket or helmet with every new purchase of the motorcycle.
In addition, every existing owner will also be eligible to chose between the two. For this, dealerships will contact all the buyers and will inform them about the offer. Yamaha says they are offering this accessory campaign to promote MT riding culture in India.

This campaign will be active for a limited period of time (Yamaha’s website tells us that this offer will run till 10,000 jackets). Other bits, including the mechanicals, features and specs of the motorcycle remain unchanged. MT-15 is being sold in India at Rs 1.36 Lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
