Out of 85 Two-Wheelers Yamaha R15 & FZ Awarded Best in Quality

Along with its track capabilities, R15’s quality has always been a benchmark and it has just been stamped by a survey which had nearly 9000 respondents…

Yamaha has informed that their YZF R15 and FZ range has won the first positions in different categories in the latest initial quality survey by J.D. Power.

R15 was adjudged the best in quality in the premium category whereas the FZ/FZS managed it in the upper executive segment. Yamaha says the second position holders in both the cases were considerable margins below.

About the Survey

The 2019 India Two-Wheeler Initial Quality Study was based on the survey response from 8905 owners who purchased new two-wheelers between March 2018 to October 2018. It involved 85 two-wheeler models from as many as nine makers. The survey was conducted from September 2018 to December 2018 in 45 cities across India.

This means that these results are pertinent to the new R15 v3 but the older generation of FZ and FZS. On this occasion, Mr Motofumi Shitara, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India said…

It’s a great honour as Yamaha’s products have been acknowledged in the whole industry as the topmost quality-oriented motorcycles in the premium and upper executive categories. As the survey has collected user feedback, this award will naturally carry customer testimonials about Yamaha’s uniqueness. Further, the prestigious survey rank will be instrumental to drive Yamaha’s marketing initiatives as the brand is now building up its share in the premium segment. The testimony of good quality upon the already popular technologies that Yamaha has provided in the YZF-R15 and FZ/FZS motorcycles will usefully guide the purchase decisions of new customers. We thank J.D. Power as this survey has recognized Yamaha for such coveted positions. As an exciting brand, we will continue with our hard work to bring more style and sportiness into our products and experiences in the future.
