Yamaha MT15 Off to a Very Good Start

Yamaha MT15 sales in the long run will reveal if placing it almost by the side of R15 was a good idea or not. For now it is off to a good start…

Yamaha launched the all-new MT15 in India in March. Everything looked good for the streetfighter version of the sports R15 apart from two bits – that it was priced ridiculously close to the R15 and despite that close a price gap, it only received a single-channel ABS (against the twin-channel unit of the R15).

The plan, as it appeared, was to supplement the fantastic selling R15 rather than adding up a segment of its own. And if the initial sales numbers are anything to go by, MT15 is off to a very good start. It has registered total wholesales of 9026 units in its first two months of dispatch.
