Upcoming Hero motorcycles in 2021 will include newer models in the premium space as well. Is the near 300cc Adventure model coming this year..?
Hero MotoCorp recently announced the roll out of its 100 millionth motorcycle. That, indeed, is a momentous occasion for the world’s largest two-wheeler seller. But, instead of sitting on its laurels, it is working on new products – many of them actually!
Dr Pawan Munjal, the Chairman of the company has announced launch of over 10 products every year in the market. It will continue this aggression for the next five years – which means we are looking at around 50 new models from the company till 2025.
Breaking it down, Mr Munjal said that these will include updates of existing models, scooters and premium motorcycles. In fact, the focus would be on the higher segments where the company is not a big force to reckon with at the moment.
Hero has been showcasing futuristic products ever since the 2014 Auto Expo, after its split with erstwhile partner Honda. There have been concept models like the HX250R, Hastur, 300cc XF3R, etc. There was another near 300cc Adventure model that the brand showcased last year (more details).

So, amid consolidation in the 200cc space, we expect at least one bigger model from Hero which could create excitement in the segment. Which one? We have no clue at this point!

Apart from this, Hero also has plans to expand its presence in various global markets and increase its dependence on exports. So, after settling down with its bread and butter models, Hero now has eyes set on the premium spectrum. Does Bajaj have anything to worry…?
