TVS is offering women racing training and championship opportunity. The 2021 edition will be held in Bengaluru and Mumbai in January 2021.
Chennai-based TVS Motor, which has a long history of racing events, has announced that it is opening the registrations for 2021 Women’s One Make Championship. It is an opportunity for all the aspiring women racers to participate and compete at the upcoming event.
The company will hold two rounds of selections in Bengaluru and Mumbai, on January 23rd and January 30th, respectively. Post that, there will be a final selection round at the Chennai’s Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT) in April 2021.
The first two selection rounds will have an entry fee of ₹1,500, and you will need to carry your driving license to apply for the event. Apart from that, you can also have racing suits from TVS but they will be available in limited numbers. Also mandatory is a full-face helmet with visor and a Double D ring strap with DOT and ECE certification.
The sessions in Bangalore and Mumbai will also include a full-day training session with mentors, including national champions and TVS racing riders – KY Ahamed, Jagan Kumar, Aishwarya Pissay, and Harry Sylvester.
A total of 16 riders will be selected from each city based on the best lap time, racing abilities, and physical fitness. If you are shortlisted there, you will be allowed to compete in the final selection round in MMRT, Chennai.
If you cross all these rounds, the finalists will undergo specific training under mentorship of TVS Racing’s racers, who will help you improve your physical fitness and racing skills before the final event.
Next, you will be participating in the 2021 TVS Women’s One Make Championship which will be held alongside the 2021 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship. The participants will be riding the race tuned TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
