Following up with its plan to expand its presence in the EV domain, TVS Motor has launched its iQube electric scooter in Pune. TVS currently sells its only electric vehicle in Delhi, Bengaluru, Comibatore and Chennai. That means Pune is the fifth market where TVS will sell iQube in.
The iQube comes at an on road price tag of Rs 1,10,898 in Pune and it will be available at select dealerships.
The iQube from TVS packs a 4.4kW motor within its heart. It has a maximum speed of 78km/h. On one full charge, it can travel up to
a decent 75 kms. The scooter can go from 0 to 40 kph in 4.2 seconds.
The new TVS iQube also supports Bluetooth connectivity. With the native TVS iQube app, the rider can connect the scooter with the TVS SmartXconnect platform.
The aforementioned platform provides a myriad of features. This includes battery charge status, navigation assist, parking location, geo-fencing for security.
The rider can also get alerts about incoming phone calls and SMS right on the TFT meter console of the electric scoot. The e-scooter also gets an all-LED lighting system.
The design of iQube remains really simple and it is an easy commuter inside traffic. It also has day and night displays and two riding modes -power and economy.

Additionally, the EV supports regenerative braking. This means that the energy utilized during braking will generate some amount of electric power that will be passed to the motor.
Charging Support
TVS iQube owners can use the SmartxHome to charge the scooter. It provides Bluetooth connectivity, charge status, and RFID-based security.
TVS has plans to install public EV charging systems across 4 locations in Pune. In the coming days, the automaker will further expand the charging network within the city.
