TVS Motor acquired the British marquee brand Norton Motorcycles and has plans to resurrect it big time. This is the Indian auto maker’s vision to go global. In its pursuit, it roped in an international industry veteran as a Board member and he will become the brand’s CEO in 2021. You can read more details on it here.
In January 2021, TVS announced that Norton will move to the most advanced manufacturing facility in its history, in Solihull, England. The company has updated that the construction is in the final stages and it should open by middle of second quarter 2021.
Along with this, TVS has also informed about a very important milestone in its global pursuit – the completion of 100,000 unit exports which it achieved this month. The Chennai based two and three wheeler maker is present in more than 60 countries across Africa, Indian sub continent, Central and Latin America and South East Asia. It has plans to venture into more markets in Europe and North America.
