Off-Road Spec TRK 502X in Higher Demand; Gets Healthy Bookings

TRK 502 bookings cross 150 units which is a healthy number considering the reach of Benelli and the price point. Interestingly, it’s the 502X which is in higher demand…

Benelli started its second innings in India with a new partner Mahavir Auto and relaunched its older set of models that were on sale prior to the split with DSK Motowheels. They recently broadened their line-up with one of the biggest launches of the year – Adventure Tourer TRK 502.

TRK 502 Bookings

TRK 502 was launched in February in two variants – the standard touring version at 5 Lakh and the more off-road focused ‘X’ trim which costs Rs 40,000 more (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). Now according to Autocar, Benelli has revealed the number of bookings its TRK has garnered. They say both the models combined have amassed total of 150 bookings within 15 days of the model’s launch.

More surprisingly, the off-road spec 502X is in higher demand and despite being costlier it has received 85 bookings, higher than the 65 unit bookings of the standard 502. Benelli is accepting online bookings through its website for a payment of Rs 10,000. It must be known that they are offering a gift voucher of Rs 10,000 on every TRK’s pre-booking. This voucher can be redeemed at Benelli’s store at the time of delivery of the motorcycle. This offer is valid till 31st March only.

TRK 502 Bookings
This is the more off-road focused TRK 502X with a higher 230 mm ground clearance, 19-17 inch knobby tyres, an extended and raised exhaust canister and spoke wheels…

TRK 502 is the most affordable 500-650cc ADV and it undercuts its rivals like Versys 650, V-Strom 650 etc. It is even priced lesser than the single cylinder SWM Superdual T.

Apart from this, the company has already announced their plans to launch the Leoncino scrambler and Imperiale 400 retro classic in India this year. There are tentative speculations of the TRK 251 as well, but we now believe that it may be a next year candidate.
