Well, first of all there is no concrete basis yet that Bajaj will actually launch a full faired motorcycle in the coming few months. We only have two things – first Bajaj showcased the Pulsar SS400 as a concept motorcycle at the 2014 Auto Expo, along with the Pulsar CS400 (which later went onto become the production Dominar 400) and second, a rumor from Indonesia that Bajaj is working on one (more details).
But considering Bajaj’s strategy of introducing multiple motorcycles on one platform, there will be a 400 cc full faired motorcycle in the coming times – it could be months; it could be years! It may not be called as a Pulsar because we believe that the Pulsar brand will not move over 250 cc but for now that is the only name we have.
Anyway, based on the latest rumors, few imaginative renderings of the speculated motorcycle have surfaced on the internet. And quite clearly, we are impressed! In fact, we go onto say that it looks better than the slightly overdone styling of the Pulsar SS400 (or the production Pulsar RS2000). There are lesser number of cuts and creases on the all-new fairing which is bolted on the existing Pulsar RS200’s body.

The model features upside down front forks and carries over a few other parts from the Dominar 400 as well. The eyeline LED DRLs add aggression and it continues to be more of a sports tourer with those high perched handlebars and relatively mid-set footpegs. We also believe that if there would ever be such a bike, it would not want to follow the supersport kind of extremely aggressive ergonomics like the RC390 – to be able to present itself as a more versatile offering.
