Ola Electric is going all guns blazing with its newest venture – electric vehicles. It is making world’s largest two-wheeler plant in Tamil Nadu which will go operational in the months to come. It is roping topline veterans from the industry to form its leadership team. And has already announced the Hyper Charging network of over 1 lakh charging points across India….

All of this is okay, but what about the product? So, Ola has acquired a Netherlands based company called Etergo and will be launching its AppScooter in India. It will be Indianized and it is also expected to come with a different market name. The quirky looking scooter has typical Dutch styling and looks interesting.

Ola promises that its first scooter is tech-laden with industry leading range and will offer best in class performance. It will come with many segment first features and will offer a unique experience. But the best bit it has said is this –

It must be noted that this plant, when complete, will have a capacity to produce 10 million units every year. After India, the Ola scooter will also go to few international markets.
