Triumph Unveils Ready-To-Roll Model TE-1 – Based on Speed Triple
The latest player to take such a step forward is Okinawa Autotech. The Gurgaon based electric two-wheeler manufacturer have announced the commencement of operations of their second manufacturing plant in Rajasthan in Bhiwadi. Their first full-capacity manufacturing unit is in Alwar, Rajasthan.
The company has confirmed that this new location will primarily focus on development of their upcoming electric products – especially the Oki90. We have recently reported and shared images of a new electric scooter which, apparently, could be the new Oki90 being tested covered in full-camouflage.
The company iterates that in the initial stages of operations, the new manufacturing plant will be able to produce nearly 3 Lakh units annually. Eventually, in the next 2-3 years the manufacturing will ramp up to nearly 10 Lakh units annually, which will be five times the capacity of their first Alwar plant.

In order to fulfil this objective of theirs, Okinawa claims that they will be investing close to Rs. 250 Crore in development of the facility and will strategically scale-up the production to not only cater to domestic demand, but also expand to exporting their products.
Currently, Okinawa Autotech have nearly seven products ranging between low-speed to high-speed scooters. The company boasts close to 400 dealerships across country with recent establishment of their premium ‘Okinawa Galaxy Experience Centres’ in Dehradun and Jaipur.
