It is well known that Bajaj has announced a new plant at Chakan, in Pune. For this it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Maharashtra Government. It must be known that this is a different facility from the existing one that is also functional in Chakan.
This will be the company’s most modern production facility that will be dedicated for premium and more complex motorcycles and scooters from KTM and Husqvarna. More importantly, the upcoming Triumph motorcycles will also be produced here. Additionally, Bajaj’s Chetak and other electric 2-wheelers will also be made here.

However, the company expects to commence production of motorcycles and scooters here by 2023.
Earlier in December 2020, Bajaj informed that this new Chakan plant will be completed with an investment of Rs 650 crores.
