Mahindra, after a long wait of 5 years, managed to wow us with the Mojo. Sales have not been tremendous but the idea of a premium offering by an Indian bike maker is really commendable. Sadly even the sales volumes of its commuters too have been disappointing. However, unperturbed by this, the Pune based manufacturer is readying another offering in the commuter segment.
Our regular readers would remember that spy shots of an upcoming Mahindra bike, which was claimed to displace around 150 cc, came up for the first time in April. This time, the folks at Thurst Zone have shared new images of the bike. The toe-heel shifter and the highly pragmatic and commonsensical setup of the motorcycle gives it a clear identity. Of course Mahindra is focusing on the volume churning utilitarian segment with this one.
It gets typical features like the luggage carrier at the end. The single tube chassis, drum brakes all around, small fuel tank and circular chrome bordered head lamps hints at a very affordable price tag.

Now the engine displacement and power output of the bike cannot be determined by just looking at spy pics however, expect this new platform/engine to spawn more motorcycles in the near future.
A relatively bigger development is the spotting of a Mojo test mule without some existing parts which hints at the possibility of a cost cut version in the making to fight the upcoming Pulsar VS400. Check it out here.
