Mahindra May Launch 106cc Centuro on 25th April

We showed you the first ever spyshots of Centuro before the bike was officially unveiled in January. At the press launch and First ride of Pantero, Mahindra also unveiled Centuro which was another bike based on the same platform but with better looks and more features.

Mahindra-Centuro

Now, we have come to know that Mahindra may officially launch Centuro on 25th of April which is just a few days ahead. Centuro is powered by the same 106.7cc single cylinder mill that churns out 8.5PS of power and an equivalent 8.5Nm of torque. If Pantero looked reminiscent to Stallio, Centuro is an all new and fresher design.

It borrows its chest tubes from the 300cc Mojo and comes with a host of innovative features like central lock with anti-theft system, Engine immobiliser, Remote 128bit encrypted flip key, Find-Me lamps among others.

Though it is borrows the same engine, we hear that Centuro is more refined and has a slightly more sprightly tune than Pantero. Centuro will be positioned as a more upmarket product and will compete with the premium 100cc bikes like Twister, Discover 100T and Passion XPro. We also expect Mahindra to launch Centuro in a phased manner across the nation.

The Pune based manufacturer, known majorly for its bigger Utility Vehicles, is gettingĀ aggressiveĀ in the Indian two wheeler market and wants to snatch a bigger pie from the current players. They also have a 125cc bike in pipeline which is expected to be launched before the flagship 300cc Mojo.
