Royal Enfield Launches Cheaper Classic 350 ‘S’ at 1.45 Lakh

Just a month ago, Royal Enfield launched its most affordable bikes in the form of Bullet X twins. Replicating the same strategy, the maker has introduced Classic 350 S in the market which is a cheaper version of its largest seller! Quite naturally, it is devoid of some features starting with dual-channel ABS and we believe ‘S’ denotes Single Channel ABS that this motorcycle is equipped with.

This has also provided Royal Enfield the leverage to equip it with cheaper drum brakes at the rear instead of a disc which the standard version comes with.

RE Classic 350S Price

The new Classic model is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh which means it is about Rs 9,000 cheaper than the standard Classic 350 (costs Rs 1.54 lakh) – all prices ex-showroom.

Just like the Bullet X series, the new Classic 350 S comes with blacked-out bits, replacing most of the expensive chrome elements to cut down on price. As per the brand, the paint scheme is in accordance with the feedback it has received from its young customers. The blacked-out components include spoked wheels, rear-view mirror, engine and fenders. The bike also gets a differently styled fuel tank 2D logo, with no tank grips on either side.

Apart from these, the other mechanicals of the motorcycle remain the same. Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 350 S is the same 346 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which makes 19.8 hp of max power and 28 Nm of peak torque. It continues with the same suspension setup, with telescopic forks upfront and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. Braking system, as we said, has been downgraded. The bike is available in two colour schemes – Pure Black and Mercury Silver.
