Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R Goes To Another New Market

The screaming quarter liter Kawasaki ZX25R goes to Philippines and gets placed between the Ninja 400 and the Ninja 650.

After launching the mini super-sports quarter-liter beast – the Ninja ZX-25R in countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Japan, Kawasaki is now taking the motorcycle to more markets of the world.

In the latest, the ZX25R has reached Philippines. The motorcycle was first announced during the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show and was launched earlier last month. What makes the smallest ZX special is the fact that it is the only 250 cc motorcycle in the world at the moment that features an in-line four-cylinder engine.

The specification is not just for namesake, as it produces a shattering power output of 51 PS at 15,500 rpm, which is the highest for any motorcycle in its class. In fact, it gives fierce competition to many bigger capacity bikes, as well. You can read more about the specifications of the bike here.

The ZX25R costs 410,000 Philippine Peso which equates to roughly 6.26 Lakh INR. It has been placed between the Ninja 400 (315,000 Peso or 4.80 Lakh INR) and Ninja 650 (426,000 Peso or 6.50 Lakh INR). Kawasaki also sells many re-badged Bajaj motorcycles like the Dominar 400, Pulsar RS200, etc in the Philippines market under its own moniker.

While the motorcycle is reaching newer markets around the world, it is a lesser probable for our market simply because of its pricing. However, considering that Kawasaki sells the other two ZX’s in India – the ZX-6R and ZX-10R at premiums, it (the ZX25R) can not be completely dismissed.
