Jawa Perak latest price is about Rs 12,000 higher than its original launch tag. The July price increase is a very significant 4.4 percent!
Jawa Perak, the bobber-styled one-seater cruiser has become expensive by INR 8,700. Currently, the Perak costs INR 2.06 Lac (ex-showroom Delhi). Its previous price was INR 1.97 Lac whereas it started its journey in November 2019 at Rs 1.94 Lakh. That means that the effective hike in all these months is Rs 12,000 or about 6 percent.
Though the bike underwent a price hike there is no change to its specs or feature list. The Jawa Classic and older Forty-Two have also seen price increments in this month, however, they get upgrades in their powertrain.
The Perak comes with a rebored version of the same engine. It displaces 334cc and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It produces 30.64 PS of power and 32.74 Nm of torque. Like the 2021 Jawa 42, the Perak is also offered only in dual-channel ABS.
In the Bobber segment, Perak is the most affordable bike in the country. Other such models from Triumph or Harley come at a hefty price tag.
There hasn’t been any particular reason that Jawa has shared about the price hike and it has become a ritual as almost every maker is trying to match or better its financials, when sales are very low due to the COVID led lockdowns.
Recently, Jawa introduced a special edition of its 2021 Jawa 42 motorcycle. It is called The Brave and the Bold model which look directly inspired from rival Royal Enfield’s Classic. It signifies India’s win over Pakistan in the 1971 war. Check them here.
