The brilliant EICMA-born Husqvarna Norden 901 will be company’s first Adventure motorcycle and the biggest in the lineup.
Apart from the Svartpilens and Vitpilens, KTM-owned Husqvarna also showcased a new concept motorcycle called as Norden 901, at the recently concluded EICMA in Milan. Draped in grey-black with neon ascents, it was one of the most exciting unveilings of the show.
Norden is, naturally, expected to be equipped with the upcoming 890 Duke’s 890cc parallel twin engine (which, in all likeliness, will also spawn KTM’ own ADVs – Adventure 890 and Adventure 890R). This motor is a derivative of the new 790cc engine and produces higher 117 hp of peak power and 99 Nm of max torque.
Norden is equipped with a fairing bolted on a round headlamp (classic… very classic!) and uses WP suspension with 21 inch front tyre and 17 inch rear tyre combination, mounted on spoke wheels.
The brilliant Norden is a clear sign of the design direction in which the company will move with its first Adventure motorcycle. It will be for those bikers who do not prefer the extra sharpness of the KTMs. Norden will also become the motorcycle to house the biggest engine in the company’s lineup. It will be a big change from the Husqvarna we have seen till date.

Husqvarna has also said that Norden 901 received high levels of interest from the visitors of the show. There are no launch timelines given but we expect the Swedish maker to showcase its production version at next year’s EICMA, and an eventual launch thereafter!
