Husqvarna e-Pilen launch is slated for 2022 and it will be an entry level electric motorcycle manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s plant in Chakan, Pune.
Husqvarna entered the Indian market only recently with two of its 250 cc motorcycles, namely – Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250. Now, it looks like the company has some really big plans for the country.
In the latest, we hear that the company is planning to launch a range of electric motorcycles in the coming days. This piece of information is based on the latest investor presentation from Pierer Mobility – a company that owns KTM, Husqvarna, and Gas-Gas.
The presentation reveals a low-resolution sketch to show off the new Husqvarna e-Pilen, that the company intends to launch in 2022. The electric motorcycle is expected to be coming in two motor options, including a 4kW and 10kW unit. The motors will be capable of producing 5.4 hp and 13.4 hp, respectively.

What’s interesting is the fact that the Indian auto major – Bajaj Auto, is a key part of the development. Bajaj, who partly owns KTM and Husqvarna brands, had last year launched the project intending to create the aforementioned electric platform, which would eventually be used by all the three brands.
