One of the most sought-after commuter bikes Honda Shine BS6 has received another price hike of Rs 1,237. Within three months, it has become costlier by three times. There are no changes in the mechanics or the design of the motorcycle.

Currently, Honda Shine is priced at INR 72,787 for the drum-brake variant. Similarly, the disc-brake variant costs INR 77,582. Both figures ex-showroom Delhi.

Shine is Honda’s largest selling motorcycle and it is also the biggest volume churner in the 125cc segment in India.

Honda Shine BS6 was launched in early 2020 in both disc and drum brake variants. Initially, the lightweight bike was priced at INR 67,857 for the Drum brake model which means the hike so far has been Rs 4930 (on the entry variant) which is slightly over 7 percent.

Honda is selling an updated SP125 and has taken the ‘Shine’ branding off it. It was previously on sale under Shine’s moniker.

The BS6 compliant model of Honda Shine offers a 5-speed gearbox. Also, it packs fuel injection and a silent ACG starter motor adding to the bike’s efficiency.

Honda Shine BS6 also comes with a Combi-brake system, engine kill switch, analog meter console, and halogen headlamp. With the 125cc engine at its heart, it produces a power output of 10.7 PS and 11 Nm of Torque. Apart from Shine, Honda also sells a slightly premium SP125 in this segment.
