Honda launches 2020: Director says, No plan change with respect to the already announced products for this year…
The COVID-19 pandemic and the 2 month long lockdown that was imposed in India, caught everyone unprepared and makers have suffered big losses in the process. What is even worse is that, despite all the efforts, the relentless COVID-19 is showing no signs of flattening out.
This has caused all the plans to go in disarray and every company has restrategized for the remaining part of this fiscal. Since there were no activities for almost two months, lot of the new product plans have either got delayed or they have been shelved.
However, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India’s Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales and Marketing, has clarified that no planned launch has been shelved because of the COVID-led disruption. He said,
No product launch has been put off the shelf, launches will happen as planned earlier for this financial year.
It must be noted that Honda has announced launches of as many as FIVE new ‘Fun’ 2-wheelers in India in the year 2020 under the company’s BIGWING umbrella. These will be completely new models never seen before in India.

From this list, Honda has only revealed and confirmed the Forza 300 scooter so far. Which means that we are left with as many as four unknown, but hopefully exciting products for this year. The company has also said that it will take the BigWing dealership tally to 75 cities across India.
