We recently reported that Okinawa is the market leader in the high-speed electric scooter segment. However, in the overall scheme of things, it appears that Hero Electric leads. In a latest update, Hero Electric has shared a press note which claims that it has continued its domination in the electric two-wheeler space.
The company says that it has occupied a market share of 36% in the high-speed segment, during the first four months of FY21. It claims that it already has a market share of around 45% in the balance category, which means that it occupies the number one position across all segments of electric two-wheelers.
Wondering how things changed so fast in the high-speed segment? Hero Electric credits the success to a slew of schemes that it has launched in the last four months, which include offers like ‘Be a Bike Buddy,’ ‘Be a Green Hero,’ ‘Take home a Hero – return if you don’t like it,’ etc.

The company changed its focus to online channels for the sales of its vehicles, which has led to it witnessing over 40,000 customer engagements during the four months. This, apparently, is a six-fold increase in its online sales over the previous year.
