Harley Sportster S will be company’s next big bang launch after the Pan America which has been received well in the market…
The upcoming Harley Davidson motorcycle that is going to reveal on July 13th will be called Sportster S. It is based on the Revolution Max custom high-powered model.
This means the Sporster S from Harley will be an augmented model of the Harley Pan America 1252cc cruiser.
The leak about the name Sportster S comes from a Vehicle Identification Number decoder Harley-Davidson has submitted to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Association.
It is also revealed that the Sportster S carries the model code RH1250S. This is where it further indicates that this bike has a relation to the Harley Pan America for the latter bears a model code RA1250.
The Harley Davidson Sportster S will churn out 121 hp of power. This is less than 150 hp which is the power figure of the Pan America bike. From this, we can assume that the Sportster S will cater mid-range torque to the rider.
Not much info has been found about the rest of the powertrain figures of the upcoming model.
Though the cruiser is yet to make an appearance in flesh Harley already dropped some teaser photos of the bike. From that, we can make it the Sportster S will have a mighty dual-barrel exhaust, single disc brake on the front wheel along a tubular swingarm.
Is there Another Variant of the Harley Sportster?
Normally, Harley uses the ‘S’ suffix for the higher-power motorcycle indicating that there may be a regular model without the S moniker.
We have to wait until the launch date to get a clear picture of the Harley Davidson Sportster S and whether it will have any lesser siblings.
