FB Mondial HPS 300 Receives 100 Bookings: Deliveries to Commence This Month

FB Mondial HPS 300 price is even higher than BMW’s G310 R and others despite it being a CKD…

Kinetic Motoroyale launched the Italian manufacturer FB Mondial’s HPS 300 ‘Hispter’ in India at a price of Rs 3.37 Lakh ex-showroom, which is even higher than the already costly BMW G310 R. It is also significantly more than the twin cylinder Ninja 300! So, as you can already guess, going will not be easy for the brand..

According to a word by Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director of Motoroyale, they have received about 100 bookings of the HPS 300 so far. They are about to commence local assembly of the motorcycle and deliveries are expected to start sometime this month. Autocar believes the date to be around December 16th!

For starters, HPS 300 is powered by a 249cc liquid cooled, DOHC, 4 valve, single cylinder engine which has been sourced from Piaggio and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The Indian version produces a lowly 22.5 bhp of peak power at 9000 rpm and 22 Nm of max torque at 7000 rpm.

Apart from its quirky looks which may turn out to be the USP of the motorcycle, HPS 300 also gets some premium features like 41 mm inverted front forks and ‘interesting’ double barrel exhaust canisters. ABS is standard on the motorcycle which is shod with 280 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes.

Kinetic Brings New Mid-Size ADV – SWM Superdual Launched at 6.80 Lakh

Kinetic should increase the localisation levels of the quarter liter motorcycle to reduce its price tag to be able to present it as a worthy alternate in the segment. Else, it will remain a niche motorcycle limited to some single or double digit monthly sales numbers!
