Corona Virus Scare – Dominar 250 Media Ride Postponed

Dominar 250 ride for the media will be conducted later in a different format from how Bajaj generally does it, out of Pune.

Bajaj first officially confirmed the existence of the ‘Dominar 250’ motorcycle by rolling out invites of its experiential ride to the media. The invite mailer specified the exact name of the sports cruiser and the event was scheduled on the 20th March 2020 in Pune for us.

Followed by the invite, the Pune based major officially announced its launch in India revealing its details, specs and the price of Rs 1.60 Lakh ex-showroom Delhi. We were all set to ride the motorcycle on the scheduled date, with our tickets in our kitties but on Saturday late night, Bajaj shot in an official cancellation mail citing the COVID 19 pandemic, and very correctly so.

This is a pro-active step by the company against a disease which is causing terrible loss to the world. It is an extremely contagious disease and spreads when a healthy person comes in contact with an already infected person. Various State Governments in India have closed schools and colleges to prevent the spread of Corona virus. Many Governments have also ordered closure of shopping malls, multiplexes and cinema halls to avert mass gathering of people which will help in keeping the spread of the disease under check.
