2020 Dominar 400 BS6 specs reveal that the sports cruiser is registered and is coming soon. Speculations suggest very minor price hike…
Apart from the upcoming quarter liter version of the Dominar, Bajaj will also launch the 2020 Dominar 400. The new 400 will be updated to meet the more stringent Bharat Stage 6 emission norms to be able to remain on sale after 31st March 2020 – which is the last date to exhaust all BS4 motorcycles.
In this transition to BS6, most of the motorcycles are losing power figures and in a latest update, we have a leaked document which reveals the specs of the Dominar 400 BS6. The 2020 version produces 29.4 kw of peak power at 8800 rpm which translates to 40 PS – which means that the motorcycle has not lost any power in this transition. However, the peak rpm has now shifted to 8800 rpm which is 150 rpm later in the rev range as compared to the outgoing model.
Torque of 35 Nm is also expected to remain unchanged. Other specs like the wheelbase, length, width and height are identical to the existing model. But what appears to have changed is that weight. As per the doc, the gross vehicle weight of the 2020 Dominar 400 is 337 and after deducting the max payload of 150 kilos, the new Dominar 400 BS6 may weight 187 kg – 3 kilos more than the current variant!
